Ito back at Takeuchi for a second time

Michiro Ito has been appointed as managing director of Takeuchi Mfg (UK) for a second time.

Following the departure of the previous managing director Geoff Vincent, Ito is back at the helm of the company he first introduced to the UK in 1996.

Ito has 25 years experience with Takeuchi and used SED to meet representatives from the dealer network - some of which had been appointed after his last tour of duty finished in 2001.

He also met many of Takeuchi’s existing customers - as well as some potential new ones including those queuing up to try the new 14t machine.

The company said its biggest machine was well received but has still to decide if it will be imported to the UK. Takeuchi’s dealers reported a busy show and a good level of orders.
