Erection and Renewal of Street Furniture

Applications are invited from suitably
experienced contractors who wish to be considered
for inclusion on a shortlist of Tenderers for the
above contract.
The work to be undertaken comprises the erection,
removal and renewal of items of street furniture
including the repair of highway seats,
construction of stiles, fencing work and cleaning
of nameplates and traffic signs within the
boundaries of the London Borough of Hillingdon.
The contract will be in the form schedule of
rates and the work will be executed on the basis
of individual orders. The annual value is of the

order of £150,000. The contract is for a two-year
period commencing on 1st November 2005, with
possible discretionary extensions by mutual
agreement.
Interested contractors must submit with their application the following:
a) Financial status and Banker's Reference. The
applicant should obtain banker's reference at his
own cost.
b) Audited accounts for the latest three years.
c) Evidence of experience, including details of
similar work undertaken recently with contract
values and dates.
d) The names, addresses and telephone numbers of
at least two technical referees.
e) Company profile and Organisational structure
(labour; plant; technical/supervisory staff).
f) Details of in-house resources available for work of this type.
g) The Company Health and Safety policy.
h) Evidence of current Public Liability insurance of at least £5,000,000.
