Lorne Stewart wins £25m NHS Trust contract

The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust has awarded Lorne Stewart a £25m contract to manage its estate.

The contract, which is for the next seven years, includes all mechanical and electrical, fabric and capital projects.

Eamon Fairclough, the Trust's capital planning and estates manager, said:  "We've worked with Lorne Stewartfor over 10 years. They're straight-talking, hands-on and local - all ideal qualities for building trust in our environment."

Paul Booth, regional manager, responsible for the contract at Lorne Stewart said: "This new contract changes things in two significant ways - firstly we have a direct relationship with the Trust and secondly we've now taken on capital works management.

"The direct relationship has speeded up decision-making and made for a more seamless team between the Trust and us."

The NHS Trust has an option of extending the contract to 10 years.
