Higgins to develop eight brownfield sites

Higgins Construction has been chosen as the lead construction partner for Notting Hill Housing Trust's £24m brownfield re-development of eight sites in Barnet.

The contract will result in a seven-unit residential care centre and 150 new homes for mixed-tenure being built.

The Essex-based company begins on the first site in September, to carry out staggered demolitions over three phases as current occupants are decanted under the project name of Barnet: New Living Choices.

Approximately 90% of the homes are being developed for affordable rent, with the remainder either shared ownership or for outright sale.
