Capita Group gets three-year extension for Constructionline

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has given the Capita Group a three-year extension to its contract to administer the Constructionline register of pre-qualified contractors and suppliers. The contract will run until 1 September 2008.
Under the new agreement, Capita has undertaken to implement a major redevelopment of the Constructionline IT infrastructure. The new set-up is due to become operational next spring. It will enable procurers to interface with a number of e-procurement initiatives.
The Constructionline register currently numbers 12,500 contractors and suppliers, together with more than 1,500 public and private sector clients.
