MAINTENANCE OF HIGHWAY STRUCTURES
TERM CONTRACT FOR PERIOD FROM
1 JANUARY 2006 TO 31 DECEMBER 2007
Applications are invited from suitably
experienced contractors who wish to be considered
for inclusion in the tender list for the above
contract.
The works are to be tendered on a "schedule of
rates" and include cyclic routine maintenance,
concrete repair to structures, repair of
brickwork including coping stones, glazed tile
and nosing tile repairs, high pressure water
jetting to drainage system and gully cleansing in
structure, site clearance to various components
of bridge, subway and culvert, graffiti clearance
to structures, tightening of bolts to parapets,

holding down bolts, and painting steel elements
on highway or other public areas within the
London Borough of Barnet. Approximate value of
works undertaken each year is generally between
£50K to £70K.
Contractors wishing to be considered for
inclusion on the short list of tenderers should
request a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. The
short list of tenderers will be prepared based on
the evaluation of the questionnaire.

Friday 22 July 2005.
