HIDDEN HOMES PROGRAMME (PHASE 5) AT VARIOUS SITES THROUGHOUT THE BOROUGH

Expressions of interest are sought from
multi-disciplinary general contractors who can
demonstrate a proven track record of executing
works to a high standard whilst working in
occupied housing estates. Contractors who wish to
be considered for selection should submit their
names to Miss P. Chuard, Senior Contracts
Officer, Leasehold and Procurement Services,
17-27 Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, London SW18 4AE
by 29th July 2005.
The works will comprise the construction of new
units of housing accommodation developed within
existing redundant areas of housing blocks such
as store sheds, underground garages, boiler rooms

etc. The work forms part of the successful Hidden
Homes initiative of the Council, which has
already produced over 100 new units.
The estimated cost of this scheme ranges from
£750,000 to £1.5 million and tenders are likely
to be sought in November 2005.
All applicants must provide the following information with their application:-
(a) the full name of the company wishing to tender;
(b) the names and addresses of three technical
referees, with details of particular projects,
who are able to provide a reference of the
applicants competence specifically in this type
of work;
(c) a copy of the company's latest audited
accounts which should not be more than 18 months
old
(d) the name and address of the company's banker;
(e) confirmation that the company is insured, or
is prepared to insure if successful, for Public
Liability insurance of at least £5,000,000;
(f) a copy of the company's Construction Industry Tax Deduction Certificate;
(g) evidence of acting in the role of Principal
Contractor under the 1994 CDM Regulations on
similar schemes; and
(h) the name of the periodical in which this advertisement was seen.
In addition, if a contractor is shortlisted to
tender, they will be required to submit a copy of
their company's Policy Statement produced in
accordance with Section 2(3) of the Health and
Safety at Work etc., Act 1974.
Applicants must only refer to the above-mentioned
scheme in their reply. Accompanying applications
for other advertisements placed by Wandsworth
Borough Council and late applications will not be
considered.
The work under this contract will be carried out
