Mace to start work on £14m pier project this autumn

Mace will start work this autumn on a £14m pier contract at Edinburgh Airport for operator BAA.

The new pier will link the main terminal building with five new boarding gates and one coaching gate and will replace the current coach service between the terminal and aircraft stands.

Mace will carry out the works as the design and build contractor.

Work on the project is due to start in September and is scheduled to finish by late summer 2006.
