PROVISION OF METROLINK PARK AND RIDE FACILITIES AT NAVIGATION ROAD, ALTRINCHAM

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced main contractors who wish to be included on a select tender list for the above project.
The scheme comprises the extension of existing parking facilities with the phased construction of high quality vehicle parking for the able and disabled user together with mechanical and electrical works, drainage, landscaping and fencing.
The current estimated cost of the works is anticipated to be in the region of £450,000. It is anticipated commencement of work on site in late September/early October 2005. The contract will be fixed price under an appropriate JCT Form of Contract, amended to incorporated GMPTE's equipment.

Applicants must ensure that their expression of interest demonstrates their ability to undertake the above works and must include details of contracts of a similar type and size successfully undertaken recently. In addition contractors applying must provide the following information with their submission:-
a - The names and addresses of three technical referees who are able to provide a reference of the applicant's competence in relation to this type of work. Details of particular projects undertaken by the applicant should be form a part of these references.
b - A copy of the Company's latest audited accounts, which should not be more than eighteen months old.
c - The name and address of the Company's bankers.
d - Confirmation that the Company is insured for Public Liability of at least £5,000,000.
e - A copy of the Company's Construction Industry Tax Deduction Certificate.
f - Evidence of having acted in the role of Principal Contractor under the 1994 CDM Regulations on similar schemes.
g - Details of the Company's Quality Assurance procedures.
