North Tyneside bridge reconstruction


NORTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL BLUE HOUSE EAST BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION

Applications are invited from suitably experienced Contractors wishing to be considered for inclusion on a select list of Tenderers for the above project.
The work will comprise:

  • Construction of new continuous two span prestressed concrete beam and slab bridge on reinforced concrete abutments and pier. Foundations to be piled.
  • Structural demolition of existing Blue House East Bridge.
  • To minimise disruption to traffic on A1058 Coast Road. The structure is to be constructed in two halves with all work undertaken under traffic management to be 24 hour working.
  • Complex traffic management.

The estimated value of the works is between £1,750,000 and £2,100,000 and it is anticipated that tenders will be issued in September 2005 with work programmed to start in December 2005.

Details of organisation structure and human resources
Details of similar projects carried out
A list of local authority clients from which two technical referees will be selected.
Evidence of acting in the role of Principal Contractor under the 1994 CDM Regulations on similar schemes and a copy of the Health and Safety Policy
Details of quality assurance certification
Details/statement on staff training and numbers registered on the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
Name and address of the company's banker and a copy of the last three years audited accounts
Insurance details and confirmation of Public Liability Insurance of at least £5,000,000
No previous application or expression of interest shall be taken as an application for the purpose of this notice.
