Richard Entwistle is to become Jarvis’s new chief operating officer. Currently a main board director at Amey, he will take up his new post on 8 September.
Entwistle steps into a post at Jarvis that was previously held by Andrew Lezala, who moved in June to the position of chief executive with Metronet.
Jarvis’s chairman Steven Norris made the latest announcement to shareholders at the group’s extraordinary general meeting where resolutions restructure the group – necessary for its survival – were voted through. The resulting debt-for-equity swap will wipe out Jarvis’s staggering debt burden through the creation of a massive number of new shares, making existing shares close to worthless.
Entwistle was in charge of Amey Ventures and prior to that he headed up the group’s infrastructure management and maintenance division.
