Balfour secures £16.5m CTRL depot project

Balfour Beatty Rail Projects has won CTRL Contract 851 for the the construction of a eight-track Euro Star depot at Temple Mills in Leyton.

Worth £16.5m, the deal is the third CTRL-related contract that Balfour Beatty Rail has been awarded in the area.

The depot will provide stabling, servicing and maintenance of Euro Star's fleet of trains and will replace the existing North Pole International Depot in west London. Work starts this month with completion set for spring 2007.
