McLaren wins £11m contract to build school

Essex-based McLaren Construc-tion has registered an £11.3m deal in north London for
Laing Homes.
The design and build scheme, at Holloway School, Islington, includes a teaching block for students with special educational needs, plus a swimming pool and sports hall.
The job also features
demolition, drainage and landscaping work.
The four-storey complex will span around 6,500m2 and is due for completion in 70 weeks.
White Young Green is the structural engineer, Gifford is services engineer and the
architect is SMC Corstophine
& Wright.
