Jackson Construction is preferred contractor on a £1.8m scheme to build a new primary school for Essex County Council.
The new St Nicholas C of E primary school In Rawreth will be a direct replacement for the village's existing school and cater for around 200 pupils.
The single-storey, steel frame building will feature composite timber over clad with aluminium windows, a Kal-Zip roof, with brickwork, render and curtain walling to the facade.
In addition to a number of large classrooms, the new school will also feature a multi-media room, assembly hall/dining hall, library, offices and a staff room. Externally Jackson's will create a play area and car parking.
The project is due to commence in October 2005, and is scheduled for completion by July 2006.
