Genie adds Euro boom

Genie has launched an articulating boom designed specifically for
the needs of the European market.
The Z-51/30J RT has compact dimensions of 2.16m-long and 2.29m-wide. Working capacities include a platform height of 15.6m, 9.2m of horizontal outreach, an up-and-over clearance of 7m and a lift capacity of 227kg.
"Our customers requested a unit with more reach and height, higher ground clearance, and yet maintaining a compact footprint to meet European worksite challenges," said Phil Harvey, product manager for Genie telescopic and articulating booms.
Harvey said, to streamline the ordering process, the machine is only available in one configuration, featuring 4WD, an oscillating axle and an articulating jib boom.
The company said the first units are scheduled to be available at the end of year and a number of orders have already been taken in the UK.
