Kier wins £7.7m design and build contract in Scotland

Kier Scotland, part of the Kier Group, has been awarded a £7.7m contract to design and build a new Industry Skills Centre and Family Centre at Cardonald College in Glasgow.

The Industry Skills Centre will provide state-of-the-art facilities for the college’s construction and related courses such as carpentry, electrical, engineering, gas, joinery and plumbing.

The facility will increase student capacity in the construction trades by 15%.

The project also involves the building of the Family Centre, which will comprise new childcare teaching facilities and crèche.

Work is due for completion in the summer of 2006.
