SELECT TENDER LISTS
Applications are invited from suitably experienced contractors who
wish to be considered for inclusion in Select Lists of Tenderers for
the following scheme categories:-
Category A:- TENDERS for TORRE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENTS, BRUNSWICK
SQUARE, TORBAY.
This scheme will include high quality, small element textured
concrete slab paving and kerbing, together with concrete block and
bituminous carriageway construction, associated drainage, street
furniture and landscaping. Applications will only be considered from
contractors having a proven track record in this type of work.
Category B:- TENDERS for VARIOUS HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION SCHEMES AND
MINOR IMPROVEMENTS 2005/2006.
For the Category B works contractors may be invited to provide
tenders for one or more of a number of smaller highway construction
schemes including highway improvement, local safety and traffic
management schemes.
Applications must state which category the contractor wishes to be
considered for and must be accompanied by the following information:
i A list of principal contracts undertaken in the last three years
with the clients' name, address and telephone number in order that
references can be taken up.
ii A statement of the company's technical expertise, labour and plant
resources available.
iii Provision of Equal Opportunities and Insurance policies.
iv Copies of audited accounts for the last three years.
v Information on preventative measures taken by the company in the
field of health and safety in accordance with the Health and Safety
at Work Act, and details of the company's safety record.
vi An indication of the proportions of the contract the applicant may
intend to sub-contract.
Contractors that are registered with Constructionline (owned by the
DTI) are not required to provide the information in paragraphs ii,
iii, and iv, but must provide their registration number.
Contractors should apply in writing to arrive no later than Friday
