Man dies after falling into a mixer

A man has died died at materials firm Building Chemicals Research (BCR) after he fell into an industrial mixer.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is investigating the incident in which a 42-year old employee fell into the mixer at BCR’s Greater Manchester site.
Nine fire crew tried unsuccessfully to free the unnamed man after he became trapped.
An HSE spokesman told CJ the man was tangled in a slow turning screw, which broke both his legs. He was still alive when the police arrived, but died shortly after.
