Amec wins £100m asset support contracts

Amec has been awarded long-term asset support contracts, worth £100m, by chemical companies Innovene and Huntsman Petrochemicals.

Innovene, one of the world's five largest chemical companies, has awarded Amec a five-year management contract to undertake all cycle-ending plant overhauls at its Grangemouth facility in Scotland.

Work begins immediately and involves planning, preparation, supply chain management and project implementation of the overhauls across the entire complex.

On Teesside, Amec has been awarded a four-year contract by Huntsman Chemicals to undertake overhauls of its aromatics, ethylene, polyurethane and paraxylene plants.  Amec will plan, prepare, manage the supply chain and manage the implementation.
