Hyder Consulting strengthens sustainability capabilities down under

Hyder Consulting is set to acquire the business and assets of Nolan-ITU Consulting, an  Australian-owned environmental consultancy operating in Victoria and New South Wales, for approximately £750,000.

Nolan had a turnover for the year to 30 June 2005 of £1m, and profit before interest, tax and exceptionals of £150,000.

Established in 1995 Nolan-ITU has provided strategic advice on environmental issues and sustainable development, to both the public and private sectors. 

Key areas of  business focus include sustainability consulting, catchment  management,  waste management  and  technology and packaging  management. 

The team of approximately 20 staff will join the existing environmental teams operating in New South Wales and Victoria.

In Australia, Hyder Consulting now employs approximately 600 people across offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
