WANDSWORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL
TERM CONTRACT FOR THE SUPPLY OF PRE-CAST CONCRETE BLOCKS, PAVING FLAGS,
KERBS AND QUADRANTS
Expressions of interest are requested from
suppliers wishing to be considered for selection
to tender for the supply of pre-cast concrete
blocks, paving flags, kerbs and quadrants used to
surface pedestrian footpaths within the Borough.
The contract will be for a period of 12 months
commencing 1st January 2006. Orders will be
placed on a call-off basis, as and when required,
with no guarantee as to the quantity of items
required. As a guide the value of purchases made
over the past 12 months equalled £172,000.
Deliveries will be required either to a central
store or on self-offloading vehicles to work
sites anywhere within the Borough.
Interested parties will be forwarded a
pre-qualifying questionnaire that will ask for
details of their company, names of referees and
existing clients, together with questions on
equal opportunities and Health and Safety. This
must be completed and returned by 26th September
2005 and should be requested no later than the
20th September 2005 from Colin Tipper, on 020
8871 6742, email ctipper@wandsworth.gov.uk or in
writing to the Supplies Advisory Unit, Frogmore
Depot, Dormay Street, London SW18 1EY (marked for
the attention of Colin Tipper).
The contract will be awarded on the basis of
price and a demonstrable capacity to meet in full
the requirements of the contract. The Council
reserves the right to award to more than one
supplier. The successful contractor/s will be
required to have public liability insurance and
professional indemnity insurance, each to a
minimum of £5,000,000.
