Lavack to lead buoyant Scots
Michael Levack, previously Mansell regional managing director, has been appointed chief executive of Scottish Building.
He takes up the post at the main Scottish employer association, representing 700 contractors, on 3 October.
Levack said a key objective as chief executive will be to establish strong relationships with other professional and representative bodies and to present a coherent message to political decision-makers.
He succeeds Sid Patten, who retired last year. Douglas Fergus, who served as general manager after Patten's retirement, will remain in a senior post.
Industry sources say it is now unlikely that SCORE - the Scottish skills card register - will re-affiliate with the national CSCS.
