ManuBuild gets EU funds
The ManuBuild consortium led by Corus has won 6.7m-worth of EU funding to bring about a "dramatic change" in the use of modern construction methods.
ManuBuild comprises 24 businesses from across Europe, including Taylor Woodrow Construction and the University of Salford.
The core focus of the four-year research project will be the delivery of "inspirational housing designs through a highly efficient process that dramatically reduces wasted labour, time and materials".
In addition to the EU funding, the consortium has stumped up 27m.
ManuBuild's demonstration projects will include a residential project and a healthcare or schools building built by Taywood.
