Carillion to sue Ove Arup over marina scheme

Carillion Construction is suing Ove Arup & Partners in a row over the Sovereign Harbour Development in Eastbourne.

Carillion claims that the engineering firm was negligent and in breach of contract when providing professional engineering services connected with the development, planning and construction of Crumbles Harbour Village, now called Sovereign Harbour Development.

Sovereign Harbour is one of the largest sheltered marinas in Europe, and is surrounded by 3,000 homes and a retail park.

Carillion is also seeking damages for negligent mis-statement, misrepresentation, breach of collateral warranty and breach of statutory duty.
