Kier wins £26.5m Procure 21 contract

Kier Build, the major building projects arm of the Kier Group, has been awarded a £26.5m Procure 21 contract to design & build a new 60-bed women’s mental health hospital in Ealing, West London.

The Orchard will be among one of the few women-only NHS mental health units and has been developed in response to the Department of Health’s strategy to provide female-only mental health facilities. 

The new facility, due to open in May 2007, will provide 45 enhanced medium secure beds and 15 medium secure beds in wards with views across landscaped areas to the south and east of London.
