Norwest Holst/R McAlpine jv awarded Oldham lab project
A joint venture of Norwest Holst Construction and Sir Robert McAlpine has emerged as the winner in a contest to build a 12.9m pathology laboratory at Royal Oldham Hospital for The Pennine Acute Hospital NHS Trust.
The three-storey facility will combine pathology services from four hospitals. The building is due for completion in November 2007.
The jv, known as Integrated Health Projects, beat Laing O'Rourke, the teaming of Amec, Costain and Mowlem, and another contender thought to be Interserve.
