William Davis in contention for 20m Leics deal

 Local contractor William Davis is in negotiations with client British Waterways for a controversial 20m deal in Leicestershire.

Council planners have yet to approve the deal at Loughborough Wharf, which is meeting stiff opposition from groups opposed to the scheme's proposed location.

The plan is for 35 apartments, 250 student bed spaces, restaurants, moorings and reconfiguration of the canal.
