Alfred McAlpine is looking to increase its share of the burgeoning UK health and safety services market.
AIMS, the health and safety consultancy business bought by Alfred McAlpine in 2003, has been re-branded and will now operate under the Alfred McAlpine banner.
And Alan Frazer, formerly business director of Croner Consulting, has been recruited to lead the re-badged business.
Craig McGilvray, managing director of Alfred McAlpine’s business services operations, said: ‘We see great potential in the health and safety market. We bought AIMS to establish a position in this market and we are now investing in order to drive the business to the next level of development.
"Now that the market is aware that AIMS is part of our group, switching to the Alfred McAlpine brand will give the business a much stronger platform for growth."
Frazer added: "Our goal now is to make Alfred McAlpine the leading name for health and safety services in the UK. We are already one of the top three, we have a comprehensive range of solutions and over 100 consultants operating throughout the UK."
In parallel with the introduction of the McAlpine identity a new website will be launched www.alfredmcalpineplc.com/hss
