Nissan and Renault agree deal


Nissan and Renault Trucks have signed a deal, which will see Nissan-built vehicles badged as Renault and sold through the French manufacturer’s truck dealerships.

The deal comes into effect in the first half of 2007 and will see Renault Trucks selling vehicles based on the next generation of Nissan Cabstar and Atlas ranges.

These cab-over-engine vehicles will complement Renault’s existing semi-forward control Master and Mascott ranges.

Nissan has set itself the target of increasing volume by 40% to produce 434,000 light commercial vehicle by the end of the 2007 financial year.
