Four firms have tightened their grip on a high-profile museum project on Merseyside.
Sources say that Bovis Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine, Laing O’Rourke and Galliford Try will now fight it out for the £33m deal on Liverpool’s waterfront.
The 10,000m2 project, known as the Museum of Liverpool, will be built at Mann Island and play a key role in Liverpool’s City of Culture year in 2008.
