Wolseley continues to hoover up international businesses, announcing four more acquisitions this morning. The latest total £63m spend means the distributor has splashed out £571m since 1 August last year.
The group has bought two businesses in the US: K&A Lumber Company in Homestead, Florida; and Dixie Plumbing Supply Co in Macon, Georgia.
In Europe, Wolseley has acquired Centrale Reolaise des Bois (a wood product distributor based 70km east of Bordeaux) and Centrale des Materiaux, a builders' merchant in the south of France.
Wolseley group chief executive Charlie Banks said: "We are delighted to announce these new acquisitions, which take our total spend for the year so far to a record £571m. These bolt-on acquisitions will further strengthen our presence in Europe and North America and they support our strategy of growing the business through acquisition and organic growth."
