BRE approves Dryform system

Dryform this week advanced the cause of offsite construction when it gained approval for its steel frame product from the Building Research Establishment.

The company received technical approval for its Light Steel Frame (LSF) Building System, which confirms the product’s suitability for use in construction of up to three storeys for residential buildings.

The product is based on a series of factory-assembled wall frames and floors, which incorporate steel floor joists and timber panels. LSF can also incorporate a composite of steel and concrete.

The technical approval certificate provides third-party assessment of the performance, quality, consistency and fitness of LSF against building regulations.
