BATJIC pay deal agreed

The Federation of Master Builders and the TGWU have reached agreement on the latest Building and Allied Trades Joint Industrial Council (BATJIC) pay deal.

The new basic hourly rates apply from Monday 12 June until Sunday 10 June 2007:

• Craftworker £9.67 (previously £9.25)
• S/NVQ2 qualified operative £8.32 (£7.95)
• Adult general operative £7.12 (£6.80)

The settlement also makes changes to skill rates and to daily fare allowances. There are further substantial increases in pensions and death benefits.
