The AccordMP, a new company equally owned by Accord and Mouchel Parkman, has secured the Highways Agency's Area 1 Managing Agent Contractor (MAC) road maintenance contract.
The Area 1 MAC covers Devon and Cornwall. The old AmeyMouchel team was the incumbent. The Accord/Mouchel jv beat Amey, Parsons Brinckerhoff/Colas, Carillion and Atkins to the four-year deal (which is extendable to seven). The contract is worth up to £25m a year.
In a statement to the Stock Exchange this morning, Mouchel Parkman also revealed that it will provide highways and transportation services in Southwark (five years extendable to seven) and has secured the renewal of its highways consultancy services contract in Wiltshire (five years extendable to seven).
The group has also finalised negotiations with Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council for its 15-year, £250m bundled services contract.
