BRE buys Building Performance Group

The Building Research Establishment (BRE) has acquired Building Performance Group (BPG) for an undisclosed sum.

BPG is a London-based practice specialising in the whole-life performance of large buildings such as hospitals, schools and commercial buildings.

The acquisition gives BRE new areas of expertise and bespoke software tools to predict service life and building component costs.

BPG's team of architects, building surveyors, quantity surveyors, engineers and construction professionals will move to BRE's Watford base.
