Crest Nicholson has exchanged contracts to design and oversee the delivery of a sustainable community at Heartlands in West Lothian, Scotland.
The first phase of the scheme comprises 2,000 dwellings and associated infrastructure. This phase has outline planning permission. Crest is talking to a number of Scottish contractors about carrying out the construction work. Further phases could add another 3,000 dwellinsg to that total. The overall development programme should last 15 years with a residential value of £300m.
Crest will masterplan the development and establish design principles for the site as a whole. Crest's JV parrtners, including the Royal Bank of Scotland, will be responsible for developing the adjacent business park and two golf courses.
