Morrison and Edmund Nuttall are reported to have scooped the London Development Agency’s (LDA) £200m-plus demolition and remediation contract for the Olympic Park site.
Contract Journal understands that Nuttall has won the design and build contract for the
northern region and Morrison the south.
May Gurney, Birse, Kier and Mowlem were the only other firms believed to have pitched for the deal.
Works, which include groundwater remediation, asbestos removal and soil stabilisation, will be carried out at the Lower Lea Valley site to prepare the ground for construction work to begin in 2008.
Officially the LDA said “no decision has been made”.
