Shepley Engineers celebrate reportable injury free year

Specialist contractor Shepley Engineers has achieved a full year without any RIDDOR reportable injuries.

Shepley and its subsidiary, West Cumberland Engineering Limited, worked on a range of complex projects in the period, including nuclear decommissioning work at Sellafield in Cumbria and refurbishment work on historic iron structures including the platform support at St Pancras station, London.

Celebrating the company’s safety record for the year, managing director Brian Dawes said: “I’m delighted. To know that every site has performed consistently highly is a source of great pride to the company.”

The achievement means that no employees on Shepley sites suffered from major injuries or injuries resulting in more than three days off work in the period, as these must be reported under RIDDOR rules.
