Scottish Water Solutions (SWS) joint venture has been awarded a £760m contract to deliver a major part of Scottish Water's capital investment programme to upgrade water and waste water systems throughout Scotland through to 2010.
SWS comprises United Utilities, Morgan Est, Galliford Try, Thames Water, Gleeson, Alfred McAlpine, KBR and Scottish Water. The JV successfully delivered Scottish Water's Quality & Standards (Q&S) II programme. The new contract forms part of the client's Q&S III programme.
SWS will also provide programme management, design and delivery management of an additional package of work valued at £240m.
