Ingersoll Rand has introduced a balloon light capable of illuminating an area of 1,400m2.
The unit weighs less than 10kg and contains four 500W halogen lamps mounted inside a protective bowl to provide 300 lux of uniform illumination through 360 degrees around the stand. An optional tripod is available and the envelope can withstand wind speeds up to 80km/h.
Power is provided by a 3.5kVA generator and the lamps are rated for 2,000hrs continuous illumination.
Ingersoll Rand has recently appointed Embankment Machinery Services (EMS) Group as an authorised distributor for the company's generators and lighting towers in the Republic of Ireland. EMS Group operates from two sites in Ireland, one in Dublin and one in Cork, and has ordered 25 new environmental generators for its retail and hire fleet.
