The Highways Agency has awarded the first contracts for specialist project support services under its new national framework agreements.
The framework splits work into two areas and the first batch of contracts are for services such as project and contract management and feasibility studies.
The suppliers who have won contracts are: Arup; Atkins; Capita; Halcrow; Jacobs Babtie; Mott MacDonald; Mouchel Parkman; Owen Williams; Parsons Brinckerhoff; Pell Frischsmann; Scott Wilson; URS; Waterman Civils; WSP.
Contracts for the second, more technical, area of work, including archaeology, will be awarded at a later date.
