Rourkes launch urban ironwork range

Burnley-based blacksmiths B Rourke & Co have launched a new range of commercial ironwork for the urban market.

Products in the range, launched under the subsidiary name Urban Craft @ Rourkes, include railings, fencing and street furniture.

Rourkes have already worked with a number of developers and local authorities to design and create urban furnishings to suit the character of particular . The new launch will concentrate on working with architects, contractors and local authorities on new build projects at the design stage.

Brian Rourke, managing director, said the aim of the range was to bring "our significant expertise to Britain's towns and cities to create beautiful and functional spaces".

The bespoke service will offer "a seamless service from site surveys and design through to installation" according to Barrie Ogden, formerly of the Great British Bollard Company, who is a partner in the new launch.
