Bell has landed a deal to supply Alfred McAlpine with 10 articulated dump trucks. The order comprises six Bell 40t ADTs and four 25t machines, which are expected to shift around 1m cubic metres of earth as part of the £93m A30 bypass project in Cornwall.
Les Searle Plant Hire has added three more Volvo A25D articulated haulers to its fleet. The firm decided to make the purchase having previously bought two of the units three years ago and a further three in 2004.
Scottish Water has purchased a Backhus 10.30 compost turner/transposer from distributor Blue Machinery Scotland for its Deerdykes Composting and Organics recycling facility.
McAuliffe has used a BAV5 Alligator Crusher on hire from Sandhurst Equipment to chew through one of the largest breweries in the West Midlands. The former Cape Hill Brewery has been cleared to make way for a Persimmon project to build 1,000 new homes.
