Shortlist for £4bn Stratford City scheme announced


The Olympic Delivery Authority and London & Continental Railways have shortlisted three consortia for the £4bn Stratford City development in east London.

 

The shortlisted candidates are: Bouygues, leading a consortium which includes Barratt; Lend Lease, leading a consortium which includes East Thames Group, First Base and Crosby Homes; and the Royal Bank of Scotland, which leads a consortium including Bellway Homes, Gladedale and Kier.

 

Works will include the development of the Athletes Village for the 2012 Games and the bulk of the scheme’s legacy housing, and commercial and hotel development.

 

The appointment of a successful bidder is expected to be announced in the autumn with construction due to start next year.
