A total of 40 firms have cooked up £245m- worth of work to install fitted kitchens for a consortium of social housing groups in the North West.
The work, to be carried out for GM Procure under a framework agreement, is expected to net the contractors at least £245m over four years.
It is understood that individual contracts will range in value from £50,000 up to £2m.
Work on site is due to start this month
