Henry Boot and Waltham Forest Council in east London have parted company after a wrangle over a 12,500m2 mixed-use scheme aimed at breathing new life into Walthamstow town centre.
A joint statement issued by Boot's regional director, Karen Hawes, and the council, said: "We have been unable to reach a mutually agreeable position to deliver our aspirations for the Arcade site. As a result, we have jointly agreed to end our partnership agreement."
But the council said it was still committed to bringing a cinema and "a high-quality development" to Walthamstow.
