Liebherr adds power to bulldozer

Liebherr has added the 744 Litronic to its Series 4 bulldozer range. The 28.2t operating weight machine replaces the 742 and is fitted with Liebherr's new Stage IIIa compliant engine, which develops 184kw - 7% more than its predecessor.

Key to the upgrade is the re-engineering of the drivetrain with the new fourth generation Litronic control system increasing capacity when turning and automatically engaging counter rotating tracks during a tight turn. The track length is 'considerably longer' than in the previous model, increasing traction and allowing the machine to run more quietly.

Response speed has been enhanced with a fast-lowering function and the float position has been incorporated into a single-lever control.
