Kevin Minton has stepped down from his position of managing director of the Hire Association Europe (HAE), but will remain with the organisation to concentrate on technical matters, compliance and developing training services.
Minton, who has been the managing director since March 2003, said: "The time is now right for me to hand the lead role over to someone with the drive and experience to take HAE into the next stage of its development."
HAE chairman Terry Douris said this week the board will draw up a job description and put together an application pack that candidates can request. The job will be advertised both internally and externally.
He expects interviews to be held in October and hopes to announce Minton's successor as soon as possible, but stressed that it was important to find the right person. He expects the successful candidate to take up the position in the New Year.
