Contract Journal has highest circulation in construction

Contract Journal is now miles in front of its nearest rival in the construction publishing market. Latest ABC circulation figures show CJ's weekly average circulation of 30,315 is at least 6,000 copies better than either Construction News or Building.

While CJ's circulation actually went up slightly, CN's circulation in the year to 1 June 2006 plummeted by 3,010 copies to an average of 23,728 copies - 6,587 less than CJ. In some weeks, its sales fell even lower on 28 June 2006, CN's circulation crashed to a low of 21,735, while CJ's equivalent issue (27 June) was sent out to 30,545 people - a difference of 8,580 copies.

Building's average weekly circulation in the year to June was 24,193, again meaning that CJ has the edge, sending out 6,122 more copies each week.

Jim Wilkinson, publishing director of the RBI Construction Group, said: "It's fantastic that CJ has the best circulation each week, and it also means that our advertisers are clearly getting excellent value for money."
