Affordable rural housing website launched

Builders will be able to access government guidelines on building affordable rural homes through a website launched last week.

Visitors to http://www.defra.gov.uk/rural/arh/index.htm will be able to find out the best practices for those interested in the provision of affordable homes in rural areas, following the report of the Affordable Rural Housing Commission (ARHC).

Housing minister, Yvette Cooper, said: "The website will be an important resource for those working on housing in rural areas, both on policy developments and on best practice to deliver more affordable houses in rural communities."
